- Large tulip-shaped glass for Barolo and Barbaresco; medium-sized glass for Barbera and Dolcetto; medium-width white wine glass for Timorasso.
- Decanting
- Young Barolo and Barbaresco: 1-2 hours if needed. Mature bottles: decant very carefully only to remove sediment. Other wines rarely need it.
