The Aglianico del Vulture Superiore Vigneto Serpara comes from the volcanic slopes of Monte Vulture in Basilicata, a historic terroir for this important Southern Italian grape variety. In the glass it shows an intense ruby red color, while the nose reveals complex aromas of ripe dark fruit, spice, and earthy notes typical of volcanic soils. On the palate it is structured, with firm tannins and good length, characteristic traits of Aglianico grown at altitude. A fitting match for red meat dishes, braised meats, and aged cheeses.
